 Butch's parents emigrated from Mongolia to America and had two babies right as the world was coming apart over the Crossbreed Pandemic. A boy and a girl, she was 100% human. However, at 13 Butch took on the characteristics of a snow leopard. No one knew the cause, nor did they have a cure. Many offered theories. Some believed it was a secret military weapon, others said a science experiment went wrong in a lab and it got loose, and still, others believed it was the wrath of God punishing the wicked. Soon everyone had a conspiracy theory. This only aggravated the panicked public. World leaders pointed accusing fingers at their enemies and wars raged. Out of this mayhem came Eiger Dracthorn a wealthy, super-smart, robotics engineer with a simple but practical solution. "It's a contagion, and I am the cure. They must be quarantined and if that doesn't stop the infection, we'll eradicate them." At first, he was vilified for this idea. Many 100% humans rallied around the Crossbreeds. Many more flocked to Dracthorn's camp because bounty-hunting the furry freaks was profitable. Under his guidance, the warring nations turned their fury on the hundreds of thousands of mostly teenage Crossbreeds and the new world war had a new enemy.
